Thank you Lord for the times you have reminded me to be understanding with my wife. My agenda always seems so important but then You remind me to put my wife before myself.

God is trying to teach each one of us dependence in his strong hands and supernatural powers. I am thankful for the times I have been able to let go and let God.

I had a good nights sleep last night and I am thankful for it. Lately I have been falling asleep quickly; sleeping long and hard. Sleep is a wonderful thing.

I am thankful for the opportunity for education in our country and around the world. So many are yet unable to read and write but I can and obviously you can.

God has two homes: one in heaven and one in a meek and thankful heart. Today I am preparing my heart for God.

Today I am thankful for the beautiful smile of my wife. Each hour is meaningful if there can be joy shown on her face and if I can be part of that joy.

My life is not perfect but I can truly say it is good. I am ready to exchange gloominess for contentment.

I am thankful for the expansive, blue sky. Each time I gaze in awe I can be amazed at how big and real this life is.

I am thankful for the difficult times in life; without them I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strengths.

I am thankful for those who have helped me out while others were busy thinking up excuses. I pledge to try to cut through my own tendency to make excuses and instead be a ready helper.

I do not have all my wants but I do have all my needs, so I have nothing to complain about.

Wouldn’t it be great to read the news and instead of hearing of brutality, terrorism, fear, hate, and more we would hear “Today, there is peace on Earth”? I am thankful that despite the evil around that there can be peace in our home and in my heart.

I am thankful today for my healthy wife. She is strong physically and emotionally. I can enjoy her each day as a companion, friend and an equal.

Today I am thankful for our government. I am often tempted to look at the things that could be better but Canada often ranks close to the top of all countries to live in.

Today I want to Thank You Father for bringing thoughts of kindness and understanding to me about my wife. The devil would drag me into despair and anger if not for Your hand of mercy.
