The King’s Forgiveness

I love the stories in the Bible of forgiveness that Jesus extended to the people. He has forgiven me so much. I don’t want to dwell on my mistakes (for fear of feeling depressed) but rather I want to praise the Lord for His mercy. Some people have broken relationships because of unforgiveness and I battle these things too, but, above all, I desire a fixed relationship with Jesus and I want to be positive about His salvation so that others may feel that they, too, can be forgiven.

Laughing Children

Although we have not had serious health issues with our children we have had times of flu or colds when or children were listless. I know some of you out there are all too familiar with sick children whether it be asthma, cancer, broken bones, emotional problems, etc. The other day one of our older children was making our 1 year old giggle time and again. I was in the other room but my ears were drawn to it. I am so thankful for laughter of children, it is like music for the heart. For those who have not heard laughter due to whatever issues I hope someday soon it will change for you, as they say absence makes the heart grow fonder; does that apply to children laughing? Studies have shown that on average children will laugh close to 300 times per day and adults only around 20 times a day. I think all parents (and grandparents) should find something to laugh about with their children, it would do everyone’s heart good.

What kind of God is He?

Some times we struggle with blaming God for our problems. The widow wonders why her husband had to die. The alcoholic wonders why God does not deliver him from his addictions. The cripple wonders, of all the car accidents that happen, why he is disabled. The unemployed wonder how they will pay the bills. The victims of mass shootings no longer wonder where God is but the rest of us question why. The lonely grandma in the old folks home wonders what purpose her life has. And so on. However, our Father is not a God of problems but a God of solutions and He is interested in you and your problems. When we were living in sin He sent His son to die for our sins, that we could be free. I challenge you to think believe that God is love and to think positive thoughts about what he has done for you. To dwell in what could have been, what should have been, what should be, and who hurt you will not help. The only way you can be happy today is to be thankful.

Welcome!!

I hope to start making a difference in this world by sharing my little bit of wisdom. I want myself and others to see the power that we can access by being thankful. I feel like I am the unqualified for this since I am so unthankful. However, if I share my inspirations of thankfulness with others maybe I will be able to achieve a higher level of every day thanksgiving, that can change my life (and yours) into a fully cheerful outlook. Please stand by while I prepare myself and this website for good things to come!
